It has been quite some time since the last meeting, due to lives of Board members getting in the way. There have been minor meetings between now and the last recorded meeting, but Clodaus could not find the time to prepare and archive them here. In an attempt to get the Community back on track, this meeting was held between Clodaus and Nanara in order to discuss pressing matters, OKC's current state and goals.

Board of Directors

The three current Board members, Clodaus, Nanara and Wraith Wraith have had very little free time to address the Community. Efforts must be made to spend more time working toward OKC's goals. OKC has been essentially at a standstill, even though the members continue to be active.

Wraith

One of the Board members, Wraith, has been essentially absent for a great deal of time due to important personal matters. It was decided that she would be contacted and her interest judged. The condition for her continued participation on the Board was her presence at each of the Board meetings.

Tsukikage

Tsukikage was one of the initial Board members of OKC, who at one point stepped down for personal reasons. Due to the lack of Board activity and the need for another helping hand, Nanara and Clodaus decided to ask Tsuki if she was interested in returning to the Board. It would be emphasized that this doesn't necessarily involve moderation. Rather, it simply means attending the Board meetings and participating in key decision making. Tsuki, being a previous Board member and a trusted individual with strong integrity, was decided to be the best fit and the first choice for the Board.

Others

It was decided that others wouldn't be considered for Board members are the current time. The Board will first see how things go with bringing Tsuki on board and bringing Wraith back into the mix.

Community Book

Clodaus is interested in getting the Community Book idea rolling again. He will come up with a list of ideas and guidelines to be reviewed and modified by the staff. The Board also needs to keep an eye out for individuals who may be interested in participating in and manging the project.

The Community Book would be an excellent means to get the many varying perspectives and identities of members of the Community. It would also provide an excellent insight for outside Communities and could serve as a source of funding for OKC.

The FTP server used to drop files is no longer up and running. Clodaus will come up with a system that will be most appropriate for the project. It may not be a bad idea to have a site dedicated to it. He will research various software to help, or devise his own, should time permit.

The Otherkin Identity

The concept of OKI has been resurrected by Clodaus and is available at Brainstorm:The Otherkin Identity. It will become OKC's first large-scale research project. Clodaus is still planning it and will continue to review it with the Board, before opening it to the Community for ideas before development.

Forum Reordering

Initially, the idea was to get rid of all "race" forums, replacing them with abstract concepts. Instead, the Board will now consult the community once again in order to determine the best course of action. OKC should represent the Otherkin community as a whole; it shouldn't push its own vision, though it should help to organize it.

Handbook

The Handbook has been neglected for quite some time. It's important that this be updated for both new members and members holding various positions.

Resurrection of Old Topics

Clodaus noticed some commenting on older topics. While some forums discourage this, Clodaus thinks it's an excellent idea to bring up older discussions. The topics discussed on OKC never really "expire". It's interesting to see how peoples' views have changed, or to bring up topics that newer members haven't had the chance to see. Otherwise, newer topics may duplicate older ones.
