About The Otherkin Community, Inc.
The Otherkin Community, Inc. exists as a non-profit organization dedicated to the advancement and dissemination of the metaphysical sciences and the Otherkin identity. The organization was founded in January 2006 by Mike Gerwitz, who is commonly known by the online alias of Clodaus, and began its corporate existence on February 13th, 2009. Initially, "The Community" was founded for the purpose of providing a safe discussion area for those who identify themselves as Otherkin and to provide general information on metaphysical sciences and practices. The organization has since evolved to adopt a more scientific and objective mindset regarding its topics, while still attempting to preserve the element of belief and personal experience that helps to form the individual. Here, any interested individual may read and participate in conversation regarding Otherkin, various metaphysical topics or sciences as they may apply to related phenomena. The Community is currently exploring other projects and research options to further explore the Otherkin identity. This organizational website is currently under construction. We encourage you to visit the forums until this site gets on the road. This organizational website exists for the purpose of developing accurate and credible reference material for Otherkin and Metaphysical sciences (further goals will be outlined in the future). Any member of The Otherkin Community is able to create and contribute to the articles. The wiki seeks to provide accurate information on the topics presented. Therefore, we have strict guidelines for articles, which can be found on the Help:Editing page. These guidelines are designed to enforce progression, not limit what members have to contribute. Members can easily contribute any uncited information so long as they clearly mark it as opinion or theory. Anyone can read the articles posted within this wiki. You may start by searching for an article, or viewing the categories via the links above or on the left. If you would like to contribute, you may open an OtherkinCommunity.net account via the link in the upper-right hand corner of your screen. If you notice any problems with this site, please report them to support@otherkincommunity.org. Thank you for visiting The Otherkin Community! |
