Psi

From The Otherkin Community

The term psi was coined in 1942 by B. P. Wiesner and is used to represent cognitive or psychological effects that are outside the scope of conventional science (e.g. ESP, telepathy, etc). "Psi" is derived from the Greek letter ψ (psi), from the Greek word ψυχή (psyche), meaning "mind" or "soul". The term is used in the field of Parapsychology[1] as well as by practitioners in the field of Metaphysics to represent a type of energy.

[edit] Psi As Energy

Practitioners in the field of Metaphysics (e.g. energy manipulation, magick, etc) define psi as a type of energy that results from cognitive thought[Citation Needed] (as opposed to, for example, qi (chi) which is life energy).
