This discussion is the research page for Otherkin. Please keep in mind the following when posting on this page: All theories should be proposed on the topic's theory page before conducting them here. Include each research topic in its own separate section. Every research section should include its own Research Info Box. Be sure to include a detailed procedure for the experiment in a "procedure" subsection. This procedure should be detailed enough that anyone will be able to reproduce it with accurate and similar results within a small margin of error. Include all experiment data in an organized format; see Help:Editing for more information on graphing functions. Sign each research entry (with ~~~~). [edit] Awakening During Puberty

The majority of Otherkin seem to begin awakening around the time of puberty (ages 10-18). This has been a well-known "fact" among Otherkin for many years; but is the "fact" actually true? Via a poll on The Otherkin Community Forums, we will derive our answer.

The procedure for this experiment is overwhelmingly simple:

• Conduct a survey, providing three options:
  • < 10 years
  • 10 - 18 years
  • > 18 years
• Accumulate results from a male and female audience - Otherkin only

Results for adulthood has not increased since 02 Jan 2008. Puberty age group still remains above 50%.

There haven't been too many more votes, however puberty still seems to be ahead of the others. Adulthood is next-up.
